Ecological disasters, contempt for creation and selfish exploitation of natural resources oblige mankind to give immediate consideration to the future of the planet and Christians more than anyone. In fact, the entire Christian Tradition's glorification of nature, the respect for creation inscribed in the Bible and John-Paul II's ecological concerns should place members of the Church at the forefront of the battle for a world where man will be the humble and responsible administrator of his environment. An audacious plea for a Christian ecology based on a reflection that is three-pronged: scriptural, historical and theological.
