What place is there for a great Christian population in the civilisation of tomorrow? The religious problem is not that of the elite but of the masses. And with regard to the masses, religion and civilisation are closely interdependent. There is no civilisation that is not religious and conversely, a mass religion is impossible if not sustained by civilisation. It would appear that too many Christians today are willing to accept the juxtaposition of a personal religion and a secular society. Such a concept is as detrimental to society as to religion. How can we find a way to unite them that does not make religion subject to temporal powers or associate temporal powers with religion? This book is an invitation to embark on the quest, so vital for the future.
