The daughter of a good family who became God's « marmitonne » (scullery maid), a woman venerated for her holiness then accused of rebellion and madness, Pauline Jaricot (1799-1862) developed the apostolate of the rosary and founded the 'Propagation de la foi', to support missionary work. A shining example who loved Christ even to His Passion, Pauline remained one of the most audacious lay-figures of the Church. This dynamic biography presents Pauline Jaricot as a big sister figure, whose love for God is ardent: « I was only the match that lit the fire ».
