By conferring nobility on contemporary living tongues through their integration into Church liturgy, the Council opened the doors to the latter. Didier Rimaud ranked among the finest. Many of his works which have been set to music by various composers (Jacques Berthier, Joseph Reveyron, Marcel Godard, Roger Calmel) have nourished the prayer of Christian communities and continue to do so. Grouped together in three volumes, ‘Anges et grillons', ‘A force de colombe' and ‘A l'enseigne de Pâques', his songs and poems are presented for use as both private and communal prayer. Each volume contains several useful tables for those in charge of or leading the liturgy (a table of liturgical uses, a thematic table, an alphabetical table).
