Elle hante la conscience des croyants et du peuple élu dont la Bible décrit l'itinéraire. Comment l'habitation de Dieu sur la terre, dont il est le créateur, est-elle conçue dans la Bible et dans la littérature intertestamentaire, étant entendu que cette habitation ne se limite pas forcément au Temple ? Comment la « maison » de Dieu est-elle symbolisée ? De quelle théologie est-elle porteuse ? Avec quels avantages, quels problèmes, quelles perversions ?

In a religion of the alliance, the question of meeting with God is posed and on a subordinate level, that of the house of God on Earth. This question haunts the conscience of believers and of the chosen people whose itinerary is described in the Bible. How is the house of God on Earth his creation " conceived in the Bible and intertestamentary literature? Given that this habitation is not necessarily confined to the Temple, how is God's house symbolised? What theology has it inspired? With what advantages, what problems, what perversions?"
