What benefits can the Christian tradition bring to communication nowadays? At a time when our ‘society of communication' is increasingly called into question, this book invites us to draw upon the Christian tradition to provide an outlook able to respond to the current challenges in this domain. After examining the thinking and practices of the three great Christian faiths, it lays down the principal tenets of a theological perception of communication based not only on the Scriptures, but also on the teachings of the Fathers of the Church, as well as the Christian concept of the person. For the first time, a book casts light on the Orthodox Churches' understanding of this issue and the actions they have undertaken. In his preface, Jean-François Colosimo describes this book as an ‘innovative essay', notably adding: ‘The unprecedented panorama provided by Christophe Levalois raises some crucial points.'
